What is Capitalism
Borne of my frustration with all the youtube videos attempting to explain socialism and capitalism based on misconceptions (this applies to both sides of the political spectrum) this video is an attempt to provide a brief, concise explanation of capitalism for the uninitiated. The goal is to present an in-depth understanding of both systems and what they imply. What does it mean to say that socialism is based on “social” or “cooperative” ownership? What does production for profit imply, and what is capital in the context of “capitalism”? PS: Forgive me if some of the explanations sound rushed or a little incomplete. I had to condense the content to fit within Youtube’s 10:59 time limit.
