Did you know that PMI has a comprehensive suite of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) services? Our TPM programme enable organisations to increase the efficiency of their key assets therefore releasing latent capacity, maximising shareholder value and enhancing business continuity and security. This suite has been developed to meet the needs of organisations operating in a wide range of capital intensive, asset-based industries including manufacturing, supply chain and heavy engineering.

TPM focuses on the development and implementation of preventative and improvement-related maintenance programmes to increase the availability and reliability of all organisation assets, resulting in significant increases in productivity, efficiency and effectiveness. We understand that it is not just maintaining equipment that is important but that a cross-functional systemic approach is required to achieve long term results.

What makes our approach to TPM different is that our approach is systemic; we focus not only how TPM is deployed but how it forms part of a wider intervention providing a structured system of improvement. This total business system engagement ensures successful business improvement.

Trained and mentored by JIPM (Japanese Institute of Plant Maintenance), the recognised learning body for TPM, our consultants are highly experienced in establishing sustainable and efficient TPM programmes that focus on eight recognised elements or pillars:

TPM is a continual, evolving approach that requires extensive planning and preparation to develop an effective strategy and to establish the enabling framework. Our approach will ensure staff are engaged organisation-wide; from top management through to equipment procurement, operators, and maintenance staff.

Through a structured approach to implementing a TPM programme organisations will have a more focused, motivated and aligned leadership team resulting in many business benefits. This can include the accelerated delivery of business critical projects, eliminating non value-added work or the adoption of maintenance routines that prevent failure of critical equipment.

We are committed to enabling clients to implement systems of improvement that can deliver true business transformation. Our consultants work closely in partnership with in-house teams to ensure the effective transfer of knowledge that will enable organisations to make, own and maintain the improvements after our engagement is complete.
